While many teenagers think weight gain is a side effect of using the Pill,
a 9-year study showed this was a myth.This might help teens stick with the pill, the researchers
said, as perceived weight gain was one of the common reasons for discontinuing its use or not taking it.
Researchers studied 66 white females aged between 12 and 21 years. There was no difference
in body mass index or percentage body fat between those taking the pill for 6 months or more and those who
had never taken it
