Allergic Edema or Water Retention is one of the most misunderstood problems of overweight. It is basically a reversible disorder of capillaries. Basically a little amount of fluid which is basically a part of blood plasma leaks through allergically enlarged pores of the temporarily malfunctioning capillaries into the surrounding tissue, causing it to swell with fluid.
