TENUATE® (diethylpropion hydrochloride) is a sympathomimetic
amine, which is similar to an amphetamine. It is also known
as an "anorectic" or an "anorexigenic"
drug. Tenuate stimulates the central nervous system (nerves
and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure
and decreases your appetite. Tenuate is used as a short-term
supplement to diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity.
Precautions before taking Diethylpropion
- Tell your doctor if you are allergic to amphetamines, other diet pills
or have allergies.
- Inform your doctor on the prescription and non prescription medicines
you are using.
- Heart diseases, high blood pressure, seizures, blood vessel diseases can prevent you from taking Diethylpropion
