Women in their twenties are gaining five kilos more than they did eight years back.

The new research has prompted health experts to warn women mainly in United States and Australia to stay away from fatty foods. Lack of physical activity and lengthy hours of TV viewing are the additional factors contributing to this unhealthy trend. Health experts found working women to be more healthy and fit as they adhered to regular eating hours and was active at work. But there was also a group of women who struggled to manage work and family to find time for basic exercises. Stressful life encouraged them to eat more and put on evitable weight.

Women in their mid thirties too were sharing the same weight problem as that of the younger women. Found to be least bothered about health and fitness, women resorted to rapid weight loss plans without proper diet therapy or behavior modification. This resulted in women gaining more kilos once they came of the 8 week weight loss therapy.
In the recent times Obesity threat has caught up so much that schools, health institutions, and work places are all pondering on ways to tackle it.

As soon as the alarming childhood obesity rates came out in public, health departments requested schools to cut down on vending machines supplying sodas and selling meals like cheese burgers or fries. One of the main reasons of this obesity uproar is the poor dietary habits which parents follow at home. Working women lack the time to prepare food at home and end up buying fast food meals which are calorie rich. Children learn from them and apply the same principle in their lives.

Many workshops and health awareness programs have been conducted for women as well as the general population. Governments of various countries are taking an upper hand in aiding such awareness motives in order to contain the life endangering Obesity epidemic. It’s high time we wake up and glimpse at the health risks related to the epidemic. You don’t have to do too much, but spend a little time of your day working out to keep fit. Changes in your lifestyle and food patterns will be an added advantage. Don’t take this disorder too lightly but go forward and attend an awareness program to know how obesity can cripple your life.
