One of the easiest ways to weight loss
is to sleep well for a good seven to nine hours. You
must have heard of diet supplements and weight loss
plans, but never about a simple way like sleeping appropriately.
Sleep calms your mind, lightens you up and aids in weight
loss. The new research conducted at Columbia University
show that people who sleep well for two to four hours
a day are 73 percent more likely to be obese than those
who get normal sleep. Sleep which extends to five hours
a day makes you 50 percent more likely to be obese.
And a good six hours brings the percentage down to 23.
Seven to nine hours of sleep is elected as normal and
healthy.
Sleep deprivation contributes to weight
gain and obesity. We tend to overeat when sleepy. When
you are not sleeping the body finds it difficult to
control your appetite and there is a higher risk of
eating more. Consuming high fat food or snacking on
pizza’s or pie’s can add unwanted calories
to your health chart. And tasting more of these unhealthy
foods provokes you to consume more. Lack of sleep decreases
leptin levels in the body. This is when you feel hungry
and crave for carbohydrate rich foods. Whereas those
people with less significant leptin level decrease will
be least hungry.
