Seven to nine hours of sleep is elected as normal and healthy.

Sleep deprivation contributes to weight gain and obesity. We tend to overeat when sleepy. When you are not sleeping the body finds it difficult to control your appetite and there is a higher risk of eating more. Consuming high fat food or snacking on pizza’s or pie’s can add unwanted calories to your health chart. And tasting more of these unhealthy foods provokes you to consume more. Lack of sleep decreases leptin levels in the body. This is when you feel hungry and crave for carbohydrate rich foods. Whereas those people with less significant leptin level decrease will be least hungry.
