A recent survey was conducted using two groups of inactive
men, one group in their 30's and the other in their
50's. A lot of information was accumulated from this
data and it is interesting to note that there was a
noteworthy relationship between lack of physical activity
and fat. Not surprisingly, the most sedentary men had
the most body fat. If you want to reduce your body fat,
your focus should be on increasing the amount of exercise
rather than decreasing your food intake.
Millions of people are trying to lose
weight, spending just about billions a year on diet
programs and products; often they do lose some weight.
After five years, when you check with the same group
you will find that nearly all have regained whatever
weight they lost. A National group recently sought data
to determine if any special diet program could prove
long-term success. Not a single program could do so.
Exercise is an excellent way to lose weight and burn
fat, improve fitness and enhance energy levels. Exercise
combined with a healthy diet is the key to reducing
weight, reshaping the body and keeping weight off for
good. People who diet without exercising often gain
weight with time. For weight control, it really doesn't
matter how much you eat and exercise, what matters most
is how you correctly balance your eating with your exercise.
Jogging or walking can be considered one of the best
exercises for strengthening bones, controlling weight,
balancing your body and discovering yourself.
When you do not exercise along with dieting, your weight
may initially drop but, such weight loss consists mostly
of water and muscle. When the weight returns, it comes
back as fat. Improved fitness levels and lower body
fat will also help reduce the chances of overweight
related illnesses such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
It's good to walk for some time than speed to shed pounds
of weight. You are not required to walk for an hour
or two everyday because then you may feel weak and in
turn, start losing your health instead of weight.
Don't set impossible goals for yourself like shedding
pounds of weight in a single day. If you are already
excessively overweight, you won't drop it fast.
