Weight loss is desired by everyone. To attain this feat
some of us can go to any extent even if it hampers our
health in totality. Crash diet is one such option which
helps in rapid weight loss but in the process inflicts
more damage to our health. This diet plan is extreme
in its deprivations as it severely restricts calorie
intake. It is meant for achieving rapid weight loss
and it differs slightly form outright starvation. Crash
diets are typically unhealthy and are rarely recommended
for weightloss.
If you follow crash diet, it'll shock
your body due to a sudden low-energy food regime. This
unhealthy diet plan often starts working after just
a few days. There's a rapid weight loss, making it look
like the plan is working for you. But in reality, you
haven't actually lost any fat; all that's happened is
that you've used up the body's limited store of glycogen,
a form of carbohydrate. As you use up the glycogen,
your body loses water with it, so you appear to be losing
weight very quickly.
Negative impacts of crash diet:
- Crash dieting tends to make dieters tired, irritable,
and lethargic, and brings on food cravings.
- It reduces the intake of vitamins and minerals
which are very essential for maintaining good health.
- After using up your glycogen, you will start losing
weight from your body's tissues, as your body frees
up energy to keep you going. Crash diets do this
too quickly to be healthy.
- Weight loss attained through this technique goes
back on as fat, leaving you with more fat and less
protein than you started off with, which leaves
you feeling even more out of shape than before.
- This dieting messes up your metabolism, and may
even raise the levels of harmful cholesterol in
the blood, increasing your risk of arterial disease
and heart problems.
Desiring for being slim and attractive is very normal
and the best way to attain weight loss is to do it slowly.
A balanced diet and moderate amount of regular exercise
will gently get you toned up, and keep the weight off
for good. It can make you look good without harming
your precious health.
